Reveal time...

So technically I should be nice to you and tell you right here...
Such as...We are having a ___________!
or...The color to buy is _________________!
or...God has blessed us with a _____________!I mean all would be pretty special to see HOWEVER, I'm really not like that. I mean I'm going to make you read a little bit to see the news. I know I'm cruel. So I tried to do a little poll on here and on facebook and I had some mix reviews. 7 people voted that I was going to be having a little girl and 5 people voted that I was going to have another little boy...although I think 1 person voted on here that I was going to have a boy and then on facebook that I was going to have a girl...SO I'm not sure where that person stands.
I'm sure that you guys are wondering a couple things...
Why did you find out? Well...we thought it would be nice for "trying" to teach "Z" about him becoming a big brother. That way instead of saying your baby brother/sister we could just say one of them.
Why did a take so long for you to tell us? Well...my dear brother-in-law, David (technically he has been part of the family forever...that I usually never say in-law in any more) is in the Army (thus why we have a lot of Army gear) and he is in Iraq on his second tour (why do they call it a tour?...they don't go out on a double decker bus and take pictures of the sites do they?) But we told him 1st to make him feel like he was home. We told him by telling him if we needed more sports equipment or if we needed to get a set of pom-poms. It was cute...it would have been better if we could hear his voice but instant messaging is better than nothing. That same day of our ultrasound we sent him a package and we used the guideline of him getting the package as the ability to tell the whole blog world. Although family and some very close friends already know. :) (If you don't know already...I'm sorry you will know soon, don't take it out on our friendship please)
And finally for the most important question...
WHY not just tell us right here? I think I will...by LOTS of pictures and let's see if you are right. So if you guessed girl...BRAVO you got a huge high five from me (probably long distance though) if you guessed boy...I'm sorry maybe next time (if God chooses to give us a next time)
I leave you with a poem...

She's a bundle of sweetness
and brightness and fun.
The beauty of springtime,
the warmth of the sun.

She's Innocence covered with
mud, sand and soot.
She's Motherhood dragging
a doll by the foot.

She's a composite picture
of giggles and tears.
Of tantrums, excitement,
amusement and fears.

A bundle of mischief
and often a tease.
A creature of moods
not too easy to please.

She can capture your heart
with her pixie-like grin.
Or chatter and beg till
your patience wears thin.

But obedient, naughty,
mischievous or coy.
She's Mom's little Darling
and Dad's pride and joy.

Now the surprise will be her name and also if the tech mis-read the ultrasound (which she checked 3 times and there wasn't anything that made her say it was a boy)...She certainly is a joy to feel and even surprised us by letting Rick feel her a couple of nights ago. :)
I hope you all have a great weekend! Thanks for reading!

  1. Just curious where the poem is from. Was it a Rick original or did you borrow it from another place? Also, now that you told the world we need to see some pics of the knitting you have been doing for her :)
