Apple "Dumpling" Breakfast

I made this for Christmas morning this year. I had it at MOPS this year and it was OH so YUMMY!!!
Here is the recipe...
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Grease 13 X 9 pan
1 apple peeled & wedged
1 package of crescent rolls
(Wrap the apple wedges in the triangle of the crescent rolls and put in pan)
1/3 cup butter (that is melted)
1 cup sugar (mixed with the butter)
(pour on top of the "dumplings")
3/4 cup of Mt. Dew, Sprite, or Sierra-Mist (or off brands) and pour around the apples
Bake for 35-40 minutes...
I made 2 batches...I am sure that I could of put them closer together (but they did rise pretty nicely)

  1. YUM!

A friend of mine in Arkansas used to make those--I always thought the mountain dew sounded weird--but they are quite delicious. I probably need to make some this weekend before I start my detox (just kidding) on Monday. ;)

I'm loving your comments and appreciate them! After all if you don't comment how can I make this blog better for my readers! God bless you and have a GREAT day!
