Pumpkin Dip

So I do have a recipe but first I have an interesting story. You want to hear it...ok READ on!
(Disclaimer...I am NOT bashing my wonderful, sensible husband during the story...I just find it funny so I wanted to share it with my readers)
So about 2 weeks back we were running errands and it was getting to the latter part of the stores we were going in and out of. Rick could tell I was getting tired of getting in and out of the car as well as "Z" was not happy about getting back in his car seat when we were getting back from the stores. It was Wal-Mart and we only had 3 things to pick up...Peanut Butter (I'm one lucky momma..."Z" is NOT allergic to peanuts PLUS he loves Peanut Butter & Honey Sandwiches), Milk, and Canned Pumpkin. Rick must really love me because he picked up some Cosmic Brownies too (my FAVORITE!!!) I told Rick that I wanted the bigger can of pumpkin...because I had a couple things I could do with a big can, that I can use just the small can. All Right ladies...you know down that aisle of the store can be very difficult. So my husband saw a big can of pumpkin and got that for me. HOWEVER he got the pumpkin pie filling not the canned pumpkin. SO now I have a big can of pumpkin pie filling in my pantry (guess I'll have to make a pie this year...OH my!) That is just the first part of the story...here's the second. While I was at the store (the day before Rick was returning from Mt. Ayr) I ended up seeing Canned Pumpkin and picked up like 5 regular cans. Rick then ended up coming back and I sent him to the store with a list of "different" items that I wanted to try some Hungry Girl recipes. When he came home there was also like 5 cans of pumpkin...The funny thing is was that it wasn't even on the list. When I showed him my pantry he did a little laugh too.

SO I have decided to make some Pumpkin Dip! In the Rapp house we like to dip apples, bananas, and graham crackers in it...
Here is a recipe and a pic (sorry for the poor quality...it's my phone that is taking the picture because our little digital has died...on Thursday our gift from my in-laws...a new digital is coming!!!) of my serving size TODAY! I wish I would remember what the serving size was and the weight watcher points it is...All I know is that the first number is BIG amount and the second number is small! Plus any additional points it is for what you are dipping into the pumpkin dip. :)

PUMPKIN DIP

1 can pumpkin

1 small box sugar-free instant butterscotch pudding

2 tubs of Free cool whip

sprinkles of cinnamon, this time I also added Nutmeg and Pumpkin Pie Spice

sprinkles of sugar or Splenda to taste preference

-Can use as a dip with cinnamon graham cracker sticks or as mousse.

I hope you are enjoying the Fall weather..."Z" and I are excited because our church started a Mommy-Toddler Play group and the first gathering is tomorrow!!!
