Two Tickets to the Christmas Ball...

Can mysterious matchmaking booksellers bring two lonely hearts together in time for Christmas?

In a sleepy, snow-covered city, Cora Crowder is busy preparing for the holiday season. Searching for a perfect gift, a fortuitous trip to Warner, Werner, and Wizbotterdad’s (a most unusual bookshop) leads to an unexpected encounter with co-worker Simon Derrick. And the surprise discovery of a ticket for a truly one-of-a-kind Christmas Ball.

Every year, the matchmaking booksellers of the Sage Street bookshop host an enchanting, old-fashioned Christmas Ball for the romantic matches they’ve decided to bring together.

This year, will Simon and Cora discover a perfect chemistry in their opposite personalities and shared faith? Or will the matchmakers’ best laid plans end up ruining everything this holiday?Alright...Katrina here...this book is a delightful easy reader that "hooked" me right from the beginning. Donita Paul the author uses her love of fantasy (wizards and magic), romance and biblical truths to make this Christmas novella into a page turner from start to finish. If I didn't have a young family...I would of probably finished this book in one sitting. Paul introduced the main characters, Simon & Cora at the magical bookshop where they both receve a ticket to the magical Christmas ball. Simon's little sister, Sandy, than steps into the book because she really wants to go as well as have a kitten for Christmas. Cora's cat just had kittens and she ended up giving her ticket to Simon for Sandy as well as allowing Sandy to come and visit the kittens to chose one for herself. Due to both of those circumstances Simon & Cora who has worked together for years started to spend more and more time with each other. They have the same faith but as they got there by totally different pasts. Simon in a family filled with faith and love. Cora in a family filled with sorrow and dishonesty. They both see into each family with Cora's interaction with Simon's family as well as with Simon's interaction with Cora's sister (Zee). While Simon's family shows love and reached out to Cora. Cora's sister shows her great acting skills and deceiving pattern of getting what she wants. While Simon wants to give Zee some time and attention, Cora wants to give Zee the boot out the door. As Zee showed up she also took things of Cora's as well as Cora's likeness for Simon. The remainder of the book Paul pulled her love of fantasy and wizards with the biblical truths. In order to know how the book ends you will have to get the book HERE. But one quote that is so true is "No matter who your earthly family is or how they failed you, your heavenly Father will never deny you nor forsake you."
I do believe that this book is an easy reader and a fun way to mix romance, fantasy and biblical truths. I received this book from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Company free for my review if you fellow bloggers out there would like to receive books to read free check HERE! I don't have anything wrong to say about this book or the Blogging for Book experience. :)
